Kramer Junction, also known as Four Corners, is the crossroads of the Mojave desert. Used heavily by truckers, this is the junction of Highway 395 and Highway 58 which travels between Bakersfield and Las Vegas via Barstow. There are numerous gas stations as well as restaurants and roadside gift shops. Nearby is the Boron Mine, home of the original Borax 20 mule team.
